Everything from install to uninstall, in order.

These articles cover the whole path a merchant walks. Each has a stable link, so you can send someone straight to the step they are stuck on. If your question is not here, the support page has an email address and a form, and the answer comes from a person inside one business day.

Install from the Shopify App Store

Open the Feedmind listing on the Shopify App Store and choose Install. Shopify shows you a permission screen listing exactly what the app asks to read. Nothing is read before you accept that screen.

You can also start from getfeedmind.com: run the free check on your domain first, then choose Connect your store, which sends you to the same App Store install.

Installing does not create a charge. Feedmind has no paid tier that starts automatically, and the score is free.

Connect your store, read-only

After install, Feedmind opens with your store already identified. The first connection requests read scopes only. It pulls your products, variants, metafields, collections and translations, scores every product your plan registers, and shows you the catalog score with the grade distribution.

A first scan of a 1,400 product catalog takes a few minutes. You can leave the page. When it finishes we send the catalog score email if notifications are on.

At this point Feedmind cannot change anything in your store. If you never grant write access, that stays true.

Permissions we ask for, and why

Read products, variants and metafields. To score product pages and to see which fields already hold the data a fix would need.

Read collections. To sample representatively and to let rules target collections.

Read translations and locale content. To measure multi-language parity per locale.

Write products, metafields and translations. Requested separately, later, and used only for changes you have approved.

We do not request access to orders, customers, payments, inventory levels or your theme, and we never write to your storefront theme or inject scripts into it.

Grant write access when you are ready

The first time you approve a fix, Feedmind asks Shopify for the write scope and explains what it will be used for. You are taken to the standard Shopify permission screen again.

Write access can be revoked at any time from your Shopify admin, or from Store settings inside Feedmind. Revoking it stops all pushes. Scoring, rules previews and the fix queue keep working, and previously published changes stay in your store.

Apply fixes to your store

Open Fixes. Proposals are grouped by the problem they solve and ranked by traffic against severity. Each shows the current field and the proposed field side by side, plus the checks the change would satisfy.

Approve one proposal, or filter to a group and approve the batch. Skipping a proposal is remembered and it is not offered again for that product.

After you approve, Feedmind writes the change through the Shopify API and rescores the affected products. The push appears in Fixes with a timestamp, the user who approved it, and the score before and after.

If a push fails, for example because a product was deleted in the meantime, the item returns to the queue with the reason from Shopify shown in full.

Write a content rule

Open Rules and choose New rule. A rule has conditions and a transform. Conditions can test product type, vendor, tags, collection, metafields, locale and the current value of any field, combined with and and or.

Transforms append, prepend, replace, template from a metafield, map values from a table, or write a field only when it is empty.

Before saving, use Preview. It lists the products the rule matches and the exact output for each. A rule that matches nothing says so rather than running silently.

Rules are deterministic and free to run on every tier. Once enabled, new and updated products are checked against them.

Billing, plans and credits

Seeing your score is free. A plan is required to apply fixes, run rules against your store, schedule rescans and use the insight feed.

Your first subscription is paid on the Stripe hosted checkout, where card, company name, VAT ID and address are collected once. After that, plan changes take one confirmation inside Plan and billing.

Upgrades prorate immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Cancellation stops the next renewal and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Included credits reset each renewal and do not roll over. Purchased credits do not expire while your account is open. A recurring 5,000 credit bundle is ninety euro per month, and automatic top up can be armed with a threshold you choose.

Invoices are available in Plan and billing, with VAT treatment stated on each one.

Your data, export and deletion

Feedmind stores your catalog content, the scores derived from it, drafted content and the record of changes you approved. It is held in the European Union.

You can export everything we hold from Settings, Security, Export my data, or by writing to privacy@getfeedmind.com. The export is machine readable and arrives by email link within seven days, usually the same day.

You can delete your account from Settings, Security, Delete account. Deletion is permanent, removes your catalog data, scores and drafts, and cancels any active subscription. Invoices are retained where Luxembourg accounting law requires it.

Uninstall and what happens next

Uninstall Feedmind from Apps in your Shopify admin. Access is revoked by Shopify at that moment and no further reads or writes are possible.

Shopify sends us the mandatory shop redact and customer redact webhooks. On receipt we delete your catalog data, scores and drafted content within thirty days, and we cancel any active subscription so you are not charged again.

Changes you already approved and published stay in your store. They are your product content, not ours, and nothing is rolled back on uninstall.

If you want the deletion sooner than thirty days, write to privacy@getfeedmind.com and we will confirm once it is done.

Troubleshooting a failed scan

Unreachable. The domain did not respond. Check that the store is live and that the domain you entered is the storefront domain rather than the admin one.

Bot protection. A firewall or bot rule served a challenge page to our crawler. Allow our user agent, or connect the store instead, which reads through the API rather than the storefront.

No products found. The sitemap exposed no product URLs. This is common on password protected or newly launched stores.

Timeout. The pages responded too slowly to complete the sample. Retrying at a quieter hour usually resolves it.

Every failure state names the reason and offers a retry. If a retry fails twice, send us the domain at support@getfeedmind.com and we will look at it directly.
